Toh This Week November 29th: Little Nest 5pm

Friday, November 27th, 2009

TOH,

Looking forward to Sunday night. We will be on for normal time, and continuing through our study of John.

Joey will be sharing with us about an upcoming mission opportunity she is going to be part of. Kyle will be sharing some vision for TOH and some needs to pray about. That leaves me for John 7: 1-52.

hasta luego,

Deric

P.S.

Here is a pretty good sermon I heard from a guy named John Piper last week on the very passage we just read. Check it out for those of you who enjoy going deeper into the text. Piper is a great teacher and communicator. I have the link for video below but you can also just download the audio.. at desiringgod.org.

Toh for Sunday November 22nd

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

Hey everyone,

This Sunday we are be going to take part in a brief reflection and then talk a little about our current financial state and project51.

We are also doing little nest a favour this sunday and only staying until 630pm so if you can try to get there by 445pm that would be great.

I’m really counting on each of you for your thoughts, prayers, ideas and presence this Sunday as we engage the financial topic at our church, so I really hope to see you all there tomorrow.

See you at 445pm.

toh this Sunday November 15: John 6:1-15

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

I am excited that this week, our fellow carpenter will be leading our teaching time as we read through John 6:1-15. No Jesus won’t be with us, but Tim Cooper will be sharing what God has been teaching him of late. Tim and his wife Julie have been in Vancouver for over 4 years now, and have a son named Cash.

Looking forward to eating and discussing with all of you this Sunday @ 5pm at little nest.

toh for Sunday November 8th, 2009 – John 5

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

I am looking forward to exploring John 5 with all of you this Sunday.

We are going to explore how many of us want our “ducks in a row” in order to trust God and how Jesus decided that having the ducks scattered everywhere was okay and yet for us by having those ducks in a row we seem to lose focus and instead of glorifying God, we spend more time lifting ourselves up. We sometimes seem to think/act in a very different time zone of that of Jesus.

This and a lot more confusion at little nest @ 5pm.

I’m ready for some food and discussion.

Toh for sunday november 1st, 2009

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

Hey everyone, we are going to be finishing off john 4 today, as we look at jesus healing of the officials son.

I am going to explore a concept that desiring/ believing that transformation is possible is what leads to true faith, more so that getting all the facts right. In this situation the centurion believes Jesus word and doesn’t need Jesus to go his home. In this sense his faith saved his son.

Join us at 5pm at little nest for potluck.

Looking forward to the discussion.
